Tinker Toy Nuckols

Tinker Toy Nuckols

Born:  April 20, 1996
Passed:  May 20, 2002

Tinker was born into this world to become Donnie and Cricket Nuckols son.

We loved him so much and he had a wonderful life while he was here with us.

In January 2002, Tinker was diagnosed with diabetes and we maintained a wonderful diet for him along with two insulin injections a day.  He was doing just fine until May 17, 2002.  He stopped eating his food and drinking his water.  On that same day he went into a diabetic seizure and his blood sugar level dropped to 22, which it was suppose to be 280.  We rushed him to our wonderful vet and they brought his blood sugar level back up.  He still would not eat or drink anything and if they forced him to eat or drink he would just lose whatever was in his body.  They had advised us that Tinker was really, really sick along with the diabetes.  He had some internal injuries and possibly cancer.

Donnie and I had to come to an unselfish decision that we weren't looking forward to making.  We had to put him to sleep because the vet had said he was now suffering.  We love Tinker very much and we didn't want him to have any pain.  Tinker had been sick for a very long time and we never knew it because he was such a loving and macho son.

He always was so happy and loved to run with his brother Toy and chase many rabbits.  He was a very protective MinPin and was here to protect his family.  He loved everyone, but was very protective.  Although Tinker has passed away at the age of 6 we had a wonderful 6 years together.  I really believe with all my heart that he was just so very tired and his little body just couldn't keep on anymore.

He was our son and we love him very much.  He will always be our son and we all miss him very much.  I know now that this was the hardest decision I ever had to make because I love him so much.  I wanted him to be here with all of us forever because he was such a joy to have.  Sometimes we have to put our own wants and desires to the side and put others in place and what they need at that time.

I am just so thankful that he is in heaven now running and playing and chasing all the cute little bunnies.  He is not suffering anymore and we are thankful for the many blessings we had with Tinker.

Tinker,
Mommy, Daddy, Toy, and Oreo love you and miss you very much.  Now you are free from all the pain that you endured while you were here on earth.  I knew that when we got you, you were an angel sent from our heavenly father to come and give us all the love and joy that you did.  Now you are free of pain so run, run as fast as you can because now you can fly.

Tinky,
We all love you and miss you very much.
Your family,
The Nuckols
